I know you guys have been waiting for these! “J”, if you want the big versions just let me know, and I will drop them in e-mail to you!

I have been BUSY this morning! Got up (earrrrly), treadmilled, varnished WB&F, did dishes & cleaned the kitchen, did laundry, started uncluttering the house, paid bills, painted the background on Bailey (which I will post in a little while), scanned WB&F, pieced the scans together and now here I am!!! I still have more to do!! I’ll be back in a bit. Enjoy!

Painting on Cam & Other Stuff

    Good morning!

It’s just past 8am, the webcam is on and I will be painting shortly!

I had a couple of other things I keep forgetting to tell you about, too.

First, I uploaded a new page to my website, 2004 : At a glance

The fall months make it increasingly difficult to keep things updated in my galleries. I thought having that whole grouping of paintings all in one place would show browsers all of my paintings just from this year, especially since some of them aren’t even in their appropriate spots yet! After the holidays I will go through and revamp some of my galleries so they make even more sense. 🙂

The other thing, remember Monday (I think?) when I said I was starting my program again? Well ta-da! I’ve been treadmilling and drinking 64 oz. of water a day, and I’m already down 5.5 lbs. See how cool that works? It won’t be long before I’m at my final goal.

Ooh yea, my holiday commission schedule is fully booked now, so if you’re wanting a custom pet portrait as a gift I will still honor my sale price until the 15th but replace the actual painting with a Gift Certificate instead. Sound ok to you?

Painting early today, I’m going to try to finish up these kitties today before my afternoon appointment. Have a great day!!

    HERE she is…

The flash & background really washed her colors out in this photo, and mom had sent a dozen or so to work from so I enhanced her colors using another photo that didn’t make her eyes and coat look “pale”. 🙂

I’ve got some treadmilling to do before I start painting this morning, so I’ll update when I’m ready to start. Yeaaah, alright I’ll paint on cam. :P~

    Asia’s Portrait

He’s finished! I’ve been working on him on and off for a few days now, today was “finish Asia’s portrait” day!

I will be working on a dog portrait next, his name is Sandy. This one is my custom pet portrait auction winner! He’s a sweetie pie too, of course!

Our baby Cardinal is back, mama was watching overhead as I took some photos this afternoon. I got a couple of really great pics, I think this lil guy wants me to paint him (her?)! So I will just have to do that!

I am hoping to hear from MidCoast Fine Arts tomorrow, the application said that letters would be mailed out on the 20th. I thought for sure they’d be in yesterday’s mail, but nope!

I am also very excited that my beloved Anniversary Rose oil painting has a new home. What a phenomenal journey the past week communicating with my client about this piece, I will have to share the whole story soon! (It’s a long one!) I could not have hand picked a better owner for this painting, and I wish I could deliver it in person! It’s one of those things that was meant to be. You’ll know what I mean when I have a chance to sit down and write it all out! 🙂

I hope you all had a great weekend!

    Simba!

    2004

Just completed Simba, Rocky’s roomie and pal.

The frog arrived, got him unpacked and set up to start, I need to go hang sheeting around him under the carport so he’s protected from the elements while I begin to spray the first coat of enamel (it’s an adhesion promoter). By the way, Mom helped me clean out the garage yesterday so I could park Mark’s truck in there. I think this is the first time we’ve ever parked a vehicle in the garage! LOL! Yahoo! Thanks Mom!!! xoxo!

My new digital camera arrived too, have the battery on the charger already so as soon as that’s charged I’ll take pics of the blank froggie and get a page up for him so you can see his progress!

    Here’s Simba… also 10×10 in oils…

    Rocky :D

I’m going to be working on Simba this evening, will probably post him tomorrow. I sent Rocky off to Mama too so she can have a looksee (and just in case you’re wondering, all of the P’s said it’s cool for you all to see their babies portraits!)

Also wanted to say a quick THANK YOU! to all my “new” friends and commenters! You guys are all so sweet! I am going to save replying & e-mail stuff for morning, it seems to be the best time for me to dig in on that before treadmilling. 😉

So ok, here we go. He’s a 10×10 Oil Painting (caution: wet paint!)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed your pit-stops here to see some pretty eye-candies!

    Another one begun!

This is Honey, she’s a Yorkie. In case you’re wondering why the background isn’t already painted, it’s because she’ll be painted in india inks and those are applied in layers all in the same session. So I’ll actually be erasing as much of this sketch as possible, leaving just a very faint line to work from.

I did also paint on Rocky & Simba’s portraits today, but I want to get a little further along before I post another progress pic. I will probably do that later tonight or tomorrow! UPDATE: this is my favorite part, seeing the eyes come alive on the painting! They’re not done yet, but I just love this part so I had to share. 😀

Back to the easel I go!
