Emily’s eye underpainting…

What a fun afternoon! My break was longer than I had anticipated, man stalkers can be a real pain. I’m not talkin’ about lurkers, you guys are all cool, I’m talkin’ about the ones who snag code, images, text… right down to ideas (things I’ve done and/or talked about doing), and try to pawn it all off as their own. JEEEEZZZ some people have no integrity at all! (Hence my new header!) 😛

I just finished the underpainting of Ten’s eyes. I keep working at adjusting the contrast level so you see something as close to real as possible, I just do it in too much of a hurry I guess! Ah well, close enough, and better in person! My client knows that already! 😉

I will finish the other 2 tonight as well! Going to take a short break, but I’ll leave the webcam on.

I hope my client loves the flag background as much as I do! Man this is cool to paint and give it that flag-wavin’ dimension. 🙂

Yeah! I remembered all of their names without lookin’!

I’ve enhanced the red stripes on the flag backgrounds of Ten, Tori & Emily. I’ll work on the white after the red is dry; sometimes it can take 2 days for red (aliz crimson) to dry.

Here are the backgrounds on all five of their paintings. Callie is the only one I may change, I’m not sure I like her bed color against the teal, but it didn’t photograph very well tonight for you to see what I mean.

I have a *little* altering to do on my old layout pages to make them “match” and fix the links, but other than that, GO SEE!!!

I just received this pic from Lisa, this is her man, Chris, standing beside Talis & Meowface (who arrived in perfect timing on Christmas Eve, thank you USPS!).

I’ve got a few portraits out there that were given as Christmas gifts, anyone have photos to share of their recipients with their paintings? I would love to put them up here for everyone to see (or just see them myself)! The Christmas feedback I get just warms my heart, to know that what I do touches someone else’s heart in such a positive way through the thoughtfulness of my clients, really, I couldn’t have asked for a better “job”.

This is the final scan of the painting. The other surprise will be coming along at some point today!
