  • Lee, Thou Hast Redeemed Thy Denim.

leejeans.jpgFor years, Lee Jeans have been atop my “Jeans to NEVER try on again” list. Obviously, I lost either my list or my mind, because I slipped into a pair of these new Custom Fit Collection Jeans the other day. I was impressed.

Levi’s stole my heart a long time ago in the jeans department. They fit like jeans should fit, at least on my lumpy bumps they do. They’ve spoiled me with their straight legs, low rise and invisible seams. I am not a yellow/orange thread on dark denim kind of girl. That is at the top of page 3 in my “Things That Are Tacky” book (not yet sold in stores). The pockets – oohhh the pockets. They’re meant to make your backside look a little bit country, you know, and that’s just what this midwestern girl needs.

Now Lee has finally figured it out. The straight leg. The slight stretch jean. The comfort waist that – although is a little wierd at first – leaves absolutely NO gap. No valley’s will be catchin’ air with these jeans. They have a straight leg, not too tight, not too loose – and they’re just the right length. (Pants that drag on the floor: bottom of page 2.)

Thank you, Lee. I am impressed. I can now officially rescind my “I’ll never own a pair of Lee Jeans” declaration that I have repeated (to myself, mainly) over the last couple of decades.

I must know – who has stolen your heart in the jeans department, and which jeans will never see the inside of your fitting room?

I haven’t worn jeans in some time, but my last favorite pair was Eddie Bauer. Slight stretch in the fabric, lower rise and straight legs! LOL! Sound familiar? I still have them, but I wear capris and shorts almost exclusively because it’s so hot down here.

I have come to the conclusion that I will never fit into a pair of jeans from Old Navy…. I love their jeans~ but only on everyone else. For some reason they don’t fit me right…. Maybe some day, but I really don’t think so.
I have found myself loveing Faded Glory – Women’s Basic Boot-Cut Jeans. They fit the best!!!!

Lee Jeans are the only ones I can wear. I can pull a pair off the rack, and walk out the door without trying on. They always fit.

Oooh, jeans. I like Levi’s too. And Gap. I love their long inseams. I covet the flap pocket jeans, but so far haven’t found any long enough that don’t cost 2 million dollars.

Funny you should say that, because I’m the total opposite. I’ve NEVER EVER found a pair of Levis that suited me. Believe me, I’ve tried real hard, but no, obviously I have a verrrry weird body. Not one pair fitted. Despite all those models. Though Lee has always have some that fitted me.

BUTT, my all time favorite is Wrangler, the very best for my body. I’ve found some with stretch in them and oh, bought about 5 pairs straight away, so I’ll survive even in emergency situations… *giggles*

Lately I also found Jane Norman, which seem to have jeans that has legs that is long enough for me – and stretch. Thank god for the stretch… My belly thanks too….

I’m more into the boot cut jeans, since I’ve so long legs, I need them. They seem to shrink my legs a lot. Like magic 😉

I must also mention that when buying jeans in US (which we did last time we were there) it was about 3-4 times cheaper than they are here in Sweden!!!!

[…] Last year, I lost a whopping 20′ish pounds strictly eating core foods from the WW core food list. Of course, in standard girly girl fashion, I went shopping. I tried on a pair of Lee Jeans. I loved ‘em. I even wrote about them. […]
