What a display. We’ve gone to this spot for around 6 years now I think, and it gets better and better every year. I promised that I would do my best with these photos, and out of 100+ pics, these are my postworthy shots. The grand finale can be detected by it’s sheer brightness, explosion on top of explosion until it was so bright you could see the green of the trees below.
I had hoped to see a yellow ribbon firework, and I was not disappointed. On a more grandeur scale, I will forever look to my husband as one of the thousands of prominent reasons why we will continue to enjoy such beautiful fireworks, and freedom in this Country. I’m proud to have such a tangible and meaningful reminder of that in my life every day.
For those of you who may be overseas right now and linked here through Mudville, I did record last year’s fireworks on our camcorder for my hubby while he was in Iraq. You are more than welcome to view that live show here! (note: long load time, full 19 minutes or so video.)

I love all these pics. Especially since ours didn’t show up. Thank you.
I hope everyone looks at the 4th and the fireworks and all that goes with it as you do. It makes you really think about how easy it is to take things (like freedom) for granted.
Thanks Mark!! And all the men and women who can’t be w/ their loved ones…
Nice!
I have one crappy picture I took with my cell phone…
WOW!!! What great shots you captured.
What type of camera do you use? Or have you told us that already and I missed it.
Really those shots are better than the news photographers take.
I’m using a Panasonic right now, but this is the next camera I’ll have, and after that, I’m kinda liking this one, but I really need to learn how to use every feature on the one I have, first.
Really REALLY Beautiful pictures!!!!
Thanks, Leanne.
I yearn for a better camera, like a Nikon D70, or the Coolpix looks great as well.
You are right about learning all the uses of the one you have.
I am definitely still learning about my little Polaroid 3.2. Just figured out how to set the date last week.
🙂
