New Sketch : Black Poodle

This is my sketch of Joey, a black poodle portrait I’ll be painting over the next week or so. I’m painting him on an 11×14 hardboard panel (aka masonite) in oil.

BSTS: This is someone elses’ dog, actually the recipient of a gift certificate I issued over six months ago. 🙂

He is a beautiful dog, has a great shine in his eyes from the sun. It will be a fun painting to work!
