My other Thirteens
1. I might not be hosting it anymore, but sheesh, that doesn’t mean I didn’t create the thing or that I don’t have a vested interest in how it’s going.
2. This whole themed T13 thing is strange to me, I’m seeing a lot of them and miss the ones that actually talk about them and what is happening in their lives. I mean why surf the Blogroll if all I’m going to do is find out someone has 13 favorite dog breeds? (For the record, you can do it however you wanna, I’m just sayin’, I like more perrrrsonal 13’s, that’s just my preference!)
3. Yes I still surf the T13 blogroll. When I have time. People make it sound like I drove off a cliff or something. heh.
4. I have surfed as many Thirteens as I’ll be able to surf today, probably. My daily “don’t stop til dusk” starts in about 10 minutes.
5. Someone made a bunch of new headers for the T13. My personal all-time favorites though are Colleen’s. She’s been doing a different one every week since the first time she joined in.
6. Yep, I miss being hostess. Some days. I do like it that now I can step back to the “regular” level and not feel a heavy weight to go visit everyone on the blogroll.
7. Technorati has been displaying Thursday Thirteen as a hot tag on Thursdays for several weeks now. How cool is that?
8. I bought the domain. THE domain. And I hope, someday, that the T13 will have a permanent home and not necessarily require a host or hostess. I’m sure Nicole and Lindsey will appreciate that in the upcoming weeks, as well.
9. I pink puffy heart Nicole and Lindsey, because I know how busy they are now.
10. This is the 26th Thursday since the Thursday Thirteen was born, August 11, 2005.
11. Obviously, this is my 22nd TT. Even I have missed a few.
12. The very first TT Participant ever was Sandy, aka The Crusty Crone.
13. I can’t resist the urge to write 13 things on Thursdays. It’s been hard holding back the last couple of weeks! Any other old regulars have that same trigger on Thursdays, or am I the only fruitcake?
Okay. Phew. Now it’s out of my system. Off to the gym!

Mine comes on Wednesday night because I want to be one of the first posters. Sometimes I even stay up until midnight. I know some do it before then, but I want to be all official and stuff. I know I am a freak.
Thank you for creating it and I didn’t know we were just supposed to talk about our lives. I thought people would get bored with that so I have been doing the themed ones, too. Thanks for coming by my 13, Leanne! You still rock!
So glad your playing….I came over earlier but it wasn’t up yet. And thanks for the SHOUT OUT. It made my day (granted it’s only 10:30, but what a good start!). I agree, I like to hear what is going on in people’s life threaded through the list…you know it’s like taking 13 snapshots! Have a great day!

Well, I guess I didn’t realize there was a specified “post” for TT’s, lol. I try to post personal things. But, I also realize when people post their fave dog breeds, books, or movies (as I did today) it also tells us something about them, their mind, etc. Everything that is a “favorite” is part of what makes us who we are don’t you think?
I also find it hard to come up with 13 things sometimes that my readers who are regular don’t already know. 🙂

I am guilty of putting up “themed” Thirteens, but I hope they are things that are revealing about me. For the record, I do not have 13 favorite dog breeds. I love them all!

Mine is up, but I have Typepad and the list looks horrible. This is the first time I’ve put the code in, using the html section on typepad. How do I get the numbers to show up in a list instead of grouped together in a paragraph? If anyone has typepad and would be willing to pass me some advice, i’d really appreciate it! Thanks

I’m with Rosie….we always enjoy visits from visiting dignitaries! In the blog olypics I wrote that the T13ers were a cult that drove their “high priestess” off a cliff. Glad to see you resurfing! In case no one has told you…..you are awesome girlfriend and still very much my hero! :iloveu:

I agree its more fun to think of things in the life/day rather than list favourite coloured pencils or whatever.
My own first list was 30 Sep and now I’m only on V10. My lists are usually been short on words, but still take time to assemble and its a good exercise. When I get time I shall change my T13 logo from ‘irregular’ to ‘original’ as a mark of respect 😉

I am happy to see you playing still. It really is great, and we all know it is because of you babe! I have gone with the themed TT a few times now, and I like it sometimes, but I agree it doesn’t let you really get to know the person better. The original way is always best!

I too prefer the personal version of 13. I’m sure I’m guilty of TMI for the past two weeks with the antics of the Vile Teenager.

You are not the only fruitcake! I actually start thinking about what I’m going to do for T13 on Fridays! If I don’t post anything else, I really, really try to post T13. What can I say – I like a schedule. I try to have a theme within my 13 but it’s pretty much always personal. I agree – I’m not a big fan of the really short, small talk kind of posts.

I have been enjoying my Thursday hiatus the past weeks, but I do also miss the 13’s. I may re-join soon! I agree that the more personal lists of 13 are more fun to read. Lists go quickly, but are not very thrilling…

to me, you are, and always will be, the mistress of the code. i laugh when i make a comment about you in the 13 and someone leaves me a message that they don’t even know who you are, cuz i was like that for a few weeks as well, but now i know better;)
i’m still trying to figure out what i’m doing with the 13, mine is sort of have a theme but i try and have it apply to my week, not just a list of movies. i played this week but am very, very, very late making the rounds, but it sure is sweet to see you play this week.
