I worked on this little 4″ x 6″ Father & Daughter portrait yesterday since I was waiting for paint to dry to get that Sweet Ride finished up (which will happen today). The green is not really grass green, it’s more a drab olive into a nice warm gold. So if you don’t mind, pretend I did an accurate color correction, or just gasp in awe or something dramatic when you do see the true color.

Wow this is really a nice piece. I like that you placed the coin so a true perspective of the size is shown! I like this and in my house any shade of green is acceptable!
:meow:
It is absolutely perfect! I know the final scan will show another color but wow… 🙂
that’s looking completely gorgeous already!! good job!
It is so much fun to these in progress!
I like the greens and golds! 😀
Debbie – Thanks! It’s fun to show that perspective, I do that with my brushes too sometimes, so people know what I’m painting with. 🙂
Phoenix – moving right along, eh? It will be sweet. :lovestruck:
Taba – Grazie, friend.
Nancy – Progress shots are fun to share, mostly because nobody can believe it’s a painting when I’m done. I guess that can be both a blessing and a curse.
Ocean – I’m glad that color combo is appealing to eyes other than mine, thank you!!
WOW. As the father portion of the photograph, I am impressed and surprised. It seems that this was planned as a surprise, but Phoenix can’t hide joy like that very well. Thank you for sharing your talent and skills with those of us that cannot paint, but can appreciate it.
:thanku:
hehehe Nah It was an attempt to cheer him up and it obviously worked 😛
:thanku: :giggle:
