Wow, you guys are great! You gave me a lot of really awesome feedback, and I appreciate it! I’m going to show you another photo of Katie, then tell you the photo I’ll paint her portrait from and why I chose it.
Katie, the remote control hog
She’s a smiley, happy girl and the photo on the right is SO her. Now I didn’t expect you to know that just from a few photos, but I was really curious to know if you would sense her personality from the assortment I put up.
After I studied the photos again and read your comments, I got to work this morning on her sketch.

The wood in the background looks really good with her… maybe that color or a tad darker? 😉
I would pull a dark blue to pull the blonde of her coat right out. I knew you would pick that one!! 😛
In fact the background behind the hubby is perfect 🙂 :winking:
I think a chocolatey brown or deep orange color something like you have on Riley or luke and I forgot teh name already LOL… A pretty Cobalt blue might be nice as well.
BTW, those clogs look fabulous.

Nice choice. I’m looking forward to the progress shots, not to mention the finished painting. You do terrific work. And I wouldn’t have a clue as to what the best background color should be.
