what’s the story behind the squirrel? Did you know that mammals can live just fine w/o their tails? I learned that on Emergency Vets. LOL! I had a gerbil who suffered a tail injury…he was just fine until he spent the night at my friend’s house and got smashed. 🙁

Wonderful pics! I got a kick out of Quintin’s britches; still amazing to me how little bird chicks have those huge elastic beaks until they don’t.

Renee – he started coming by a couple of months ago with a “naked” tail, so we’re happy to see it healing and that he’s getting around okay. We’ve heard that squirrels sometimes die without their tails because they use them for communication and balance. 🙂
Rae – just kept shooting while he fed them, and happened to catch the burst. Lucky shot, it is – I wanted to get the babies AND dad – and there they are! :friends:
