My CX5400 finally died after many faithful years of service – just bought a RX680 refurb to replace her. How’d I do, and what do you use?

That’s an awesome price!! You did good!
I have a Canon Pixma 6600D and the quality was excellent… until I changed the ink cartridges the first time. I stuck with OEM, too! Something’s wrong, but I don’t know what to do about it.
Oooh the Pixma’s are very nice. I also (failed to mention on purpose, because I’m a techno-turd) have a Canon i9900 that I adore, and use strictly for photos and prints. Until now, that is, and until my new Epson arrives. The Pixma impresses me very much, and will be where I turn when my i9900 starts sleeping at the wheel.
I am not sure about the inks – I have heard that cleaning repeatedly will help, sometimes there’s just inky goop clogging the lines. The inks may also have gone bad, they get icky if they sit for a long time.
I bought a HP photosmart, but I need to figure out how to be able to scan to file with it…cuz right now it will only let me scan it to disk and then I put the disk into my computer. what a pain!
it prints from the computer but won’t send the files back. I think it’s a VISTA issue. boo hate VISTA.
I have a canon pro9000. I like it to do my bigger photos up to 11×17.
