This is my first time using linen in place of cotton canvas. Since this painting will be framed, I wanted something sturdy and classic and chose to go this route. I’m really excited to start working in the background pasture! Speaking of which, I’d better cut this short and get back out to the studio!
Thanks for checking in! I’ll post another progress update soon.

Yup! You have him in character…That’s the pose you usually see horses in…even when you ride them if you let them. The other pose is facing each other batting the flies off with their tials. LOL
Can’t wait to see the finished product.
By the way I am just home tonight so in a couple of days I will be getting another order in for the shots you took of Jade. Thanks again for all you’ve done and just to share the joy, my daughter, Jacinda, (Jade’s mom) totally loved them all.
Really looking forward to seeing this one progress. Next to my Pugs my biggest love is horses
Leanne: I really love your WIPs. It showcases your talents so well. Glad you are back.
Thank you so much! I’ll be posting another progress shot from my session yesterday in just a few minutes. Lots of canvas still to cover!
