    ww.jpgWeight Watchers Weekly Weigh-in #13!

It was bound to happen at some point, bah – a gain. After the last two weeks of dealing with a horrible bladder infection, antibiotics, bloating and comfort food, I’ve gained and now I’m basically where I was 4 weeks ago. Not like it’s going to take long for the excess to fall away, but it really is a nice little kick in the skinny jeans, you know what I mean? No, no more butterfingers have passed my lips. I went to the gym this weekend to look at the new circuit training equipment, and set my appointment to meet with a trainer and get my weight settings. The jiggle in my joggle is reminding me that fall is here, and I am not spending the time outside that I used to, so it’s time to dust off the treadmill and dig out my running shoes. Not only that, but my favorite fruits are out of season and have been replaced with pumpkin pie, basically.

    1st week: -4.6 lbs.
    2nd week: -4.2 lbs.
    3rd week: -1.6 lbs.
    4th week: -2.4 lbs.
    5th week: -.8 lbs.
    6th week: -2.6 lbs.
    7th week: -1.2 lbs.
    8th week: -2.2 lbs.
    9th week: -1 lbs.
    10th week: -.2 lbs.
    11th week: -.6 lbs.
    12th week: -.8lbs.
    * * 13th week: +1.2 lbs. * *
    Total to date: -21 lbs.
Yes, hello winter, hello holidays, you are and always have been the reason I fail every year. I resolve to make it to the other side, where 15 days into the new year I vowed to myself to be at my goal. I have only 9 weeks remaining and now 7.6 pounds to go. That’s what the average American gains over the next 9 weeks. Let’s see if I can do just the opposite.

    Send duct tape.

bitesizedbutterfinger.jpgFive is the answer to the question you have all been asking yourselves for weeks:

“How many bite sized butterfingers WILL she eat after the no-candy promise is over?”

    I know you were wondering.

Also, because you need to know, I stockpiled them in the freezer. And I have two left.

    For now.

LifeCruiser Red Sunset Ship at Sea nautical theme custom wordpress blog design

Seeing as how Halloween is over, I thought I’d better get on the stick with LifeCruisers’ next theme (and there will be yet another one making its debut at the beginning of the new year!).

->frustrated interjection while typing… where on EARTH does the apostrophe go?!?! I never get that right. /end interjection

I launched her new theme lastnight, and it’s really very cool, and sunsetty, and really makes me long for the ocean where you can watch the sun as it appears to slip away from the whole planet. Go on and check out the details, comments, and oh – the footer! Scroll down to the bottom for the full effect of ocean-ness that is her new design.

And also, yes, I’m finally starting to feel better. STARTING to feel better. uuurrgh. Thank you for thinking of me, I love you like you a whole lot, too!

Is a replay of last Monday really necessary?

    Really?

    Still love ya,

    Me.

(Apparently, the hospital didn’t give me the barrage of drugs they should have, so my treatment, cut short, didn’t cure my bladder infection 100%. Now I shall enjoy frequent and fluorescent trips to the ladies room along with 10 more days worth of horse pills. Yipee!)

P.S. Last night, I had a dream that my employer was filing bankruptcy so I went out to get a new job, and when I met the woman who was interviewing me she was rushed and crazy and as I was following her down a hallway talking to her about how qualified I am, I heard someone make a monkey noise “ooh ooh ooh – aah aah aah!” so I made the noise back.

Apparently, that made me qualified for the job. She was quite impressed with my monkey noises and hired me on the spot.

We’ve lived in our home for nearly 12 years. When we bought the place, I was pregnant with Catybug and we had visions of grandeur, just like every young couple. Over time, parenthood and home improvement projects have worn us as they do every other hard working DIY’er couples.

A Couple of Cool Blog Designs

I’ve had the pleasure of designing for Kelsey before, so when she came back to EWebscapes for two designs and asked for me, I was so excited! I was even more excited that she was open for change – she’s moved her old Typepad blog to her very own domain, and made the switch to WordPress! Yay!!

Her project request was to have two designs that coordinate, but don’t look the same. She liked the color scheme she had before – pinks, browns and greens, and she wanted texture and depth. Her blog, the first project, was fun and very feminine, and I incorporated a couple of different patterns with a few solids, and it turned out really fun and very pretty!

Those of you that know Kelsey know that she’s a writer, and she is having her first book published. From her site: A Love for Larkspur is Kelsey’s debut novel. It won second place in the Lonestar, and will be released by Capstone Fiction.

She wanted her professional site to be clean, but still incorporate those textures and colors that she loves – presented in a professional and creative way. I designed a clean, contemporary blog for her that coordinates nicely with her personal blog, and now her readers can subscribe to either of her domains to receive updates on her writing and/or her posts.

All in all, both of these designs really fed my creative girly side, and I enjoyed working with Kelsey again. She’s really a lot of fun and a very sweet – so stop by and say hello, and make her a regular read!
