Go. Go outside. Look up. Aaaahhhhh it’s so beauty-full. Do you see what I see?

This is the most perfect rose I think we’ve ever grown in our yard. I kept staring at it today! Not one petal has been infested by bugs, even the stem is perfect. This morning the petals were curled over just so, and I had to take photos of it! This one is way up there, it’s probably almost 7 feet off the ground on one of the two overgrown bushes we haven’t trimmed back this summer. I had to bend it forward to get a whiff, and it smells as perfect as it looks.

This is the view out my back door when dawn breaks in the fall & winter months. I’d just like to pop my eyeballs right out of their sockets, run them under cold water and pop them right back in. Wouldn’t that be something, if we could do that?

I’ve been taking pics of our hummingbirds all morning. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out what settings will give me a great still of their wings in motion. Fortunately, I have “movie mode”, so now you can see what I see out my front window!

She came back! I cleaned out the feeder and refreshed the sugar water and voila! What a beautiful bird to watch, and SO hard to capture. Hopefully I’ll be able to get even closer now that she knows it’s a fresh source of food, and get better pics!
