    Stopping for one moment!

    It’s already 4PM?! Cripes.

Well. I was up at 6:30 this morning stripping the beds and starting wash. I cleaned the refrigerator, took out the trash, cleaned the bathroom, folded and hung Mark’s entire wardrobe, changed the wash, vaccuumed every floor, shampooed every floor, hooked up my new refurbed flat panel monitor that I got for about 3-cents ’cause I’m so cheap (hence the background color change, and Tony, I’m sorry I put you through that. LOL), went down and got my hair done, grabbed lunch, picked up a new Rx for Caitibug whose eyes have worsened so we’re going to drown her little eyeballs in antibiotic drops until they’re normal again, changed the laundry 4 times so far, and took a pic of my new do (and eyes all dolled up) and here I am.

Do I get a prize for having the longest run-on sentence ever? See if you heard me say it on the phone, I would have said it just like that, without breathing. So if you took a breath, go back and read it again. Really fast this time.

Here’s me a little while ago. I just got the standard chop-chop and chunky blonde color. Jeez is my nose really that big?? HONK HONK.

    (image removed)

Yes, I’m going to paint. Yes, I’m going to scan in the three kitties. Yes, I’m going to resketch the macaws. One thing at a time, beginning right now! (On your mark, get set…..)

OH and my new screen resolution is 1280×1024. Everything is teenie on the screen, anyone know how to make it a little bigger without stretching it all wonky like?

Work in Progress #2 : Riley

My goal for tonight was to get this underpainting completed, and voila, done. I would like to finish this portrait tomorrow, but won’t even be able to begin working on him again until this layer is dry which will be around 1-2PM tomorrow afternoon. (Note to Riley’s dad, please let me know if the bed color is correct, the photograph was a toss up between drab olive and taupe plaid.)

    Feelin’ the Bloggy Love

My goodness I’m feeling kinda famous today. A few of my favoritest bloggers have really sweet things to say about me, my hubby comin’ home and my work. If you like reading blogs, go stop over & say hi!!

First we have Tony, a great and super-smart Christian blogger over at I Am Always Right. He’s been watching the countdown and has been prayerfully supporting our family in Mark’s absence. (P.S. Tony? That post number is freakin’ me out! Eek!)

Then we have Lisa, who’s Just A Girl. I’m painting Thor & Oz (the macaws) for her and her man. She doesn’t live too far from us, so she’s going to pick up her painting and we’re going to go out to dinner and chat it up for a bit! That will be my first and last night out “kidless” in over a year! I can’t wait! Obviously, if you read the comments section of that entry, we had some girlie giggles. You’ve been warned; if you blush easily, don’t read the comments. 😛

Last but not least is Luke & Ella’s Aunt Beth, she’s got this whole Vast Right Wing Conspiracy thing going on, really pretty smart for an Alabammy chick. 😉 She really enjoys bloggin’ so stop in, she’s always thinkin’ over there, and very generously linkin’ me and other bloggy-finds like a madwoman, I am so flattered to be among them!

    Fry-Eye-Day (late)

Lolo had her eye up Friday for all to see, so I’m partaking (late) in the Fry-eye-day eye sharing. Granted, I’ve had just a few hours of sleep, and I rarely wear makeup, I’m going to hide my eye so I don’t freak the he** out of everyone who opens my blog. Lolo’s eye color is a lot like mine. I notice my speckles change with my mood, sometimes they’re more gold, sometimes more green, and sometimes (like I told Lo), just schmidt brown. (Guess what kind of mood that is for me?)

I’ll do this again when my new camera arrives, and I’ll get some sleep and color them purdyful, too!

    😆

Quick update, this is where Riley’s underpainting is right now. I’ll work more on it tonight. He’s 16×20 in case you’re wondering. 🙂

Here’s Kayda, the perky lil preppy girl. Wet paint!

He’s arrived on base, where he will spend the next 5 days going through “detox” as I like to call it. Right now, he’s probably kicking back with a brewsky unwinding with the boys, and hopefully he calls me later ’cause he’s a funny drunk. hehe!

Me, well, I’ve got W&N oils oozing out of my pores and I’ll be painting all day today! I’ll finish up Kayda and get the underpainting going on Riley, and hopefully re-sketch the Macaws so I can get their background done as well.

Going to go turn the cam on!
