I’m going to start up the webcam in a couple of minutes and hope to start painting by 9:30am CST!
I had hoped to start earlier this morning, but Muffin (we’re watching my in-laws pup) woke me up a few times lastnight and I couldn’t even crawl out of bed early enough to chat with my hubby. 🙁
Then we ran out of milk. LOL
Ok going to prep and start the cam! (Cam link over on the left…you know the drill, right? If you don’t, just holler, I’ll check in!)

All in all, I really enjoyed the positive response from Mark’s Portrait listing. I still can’t help but sit here and literally shake my head at the thickness of the people who took the time to write negative comments though! Even after adding big bold text at the very top of my auction to clarify the purpose of the listing for those who did not “get it”, they still don’t “get it”!
The funniest one, someone wrote to ANOTHER artist to tell her that she must have been experiencing double-vision when she listed my auction. ROFL – This, from someone so many clicks away from where he started I have to wonder if he even found his way back. :O
Some folks are really, really strange. What a wild way to find that out! LOL
For Mark: Sorry honey, you know I love you with every ounce of my being; I am SO ready for this listing to end, let those negative folks find something else to hate for a while! ;P~

Some info about the cam link: If my cam image does not appear, you may have a firewall up. You will need to disable your firewall, many of them see cam’s as “naughty”, and block all of them automatically. Mine is rated PG. 😉
If your image is teenie, right click on it and you will have option to zoom. This will trigger Yahoo to pick up the full capture area.
If it is just being a pain, you can download/install/open your Yahoo Instant Messenger. (My ID is ‘intricateartist’). Once you open it, you will have to add me as a friend. I have tried to disable the approve dialogue but can’t, so you may have to wait a few minutes for me to add you back. Once you see my ID on your list, there will be a link next to my ID that says “watch me paint!” Click on that, and the cam will open in a nice little window! 🙂

I’ve started up the cam if you want to watch me paint Mark’s portrait. My plan is to finish it tonight to list tomorrow.

8:10PM CST Here’s his progress for the night. I’ll finish the lettering on his jacket and his face in the morning.
I just wanted to pop back in and let you guys know what my plans are for the next few days artwise!
I varnished my tribute to Vermeer (Girl with a Pearl Earring) painting today. Tomorrow I will scan her again and get her ready to list on eBay.
I am also going to finish up Mark’s portrait (tonight or tomorrow), allow that a day to dry, varnish and ATTEMPT to scan it if that’s even possible, it’s a huge piece! I WILL be listing his portrait on eBay as well, and you will understand why once you see the auction.
I am hoping to have both listings up by Monday night/Tuesday morning and will keep you posted of course!
We have a few other things going on Monday thru Wednesday so I am really pushing to get these things finished up before our schedule gets busy.
Once hubby is on his way back to you-know-where, I will begin 2 more commissioned pieces and those will both be viewable on cam! Stay tuned!!

Hehe! I am not going to finish painting him before he gets here, he’ll be arriving in just a few hours!!! YAHOO!!!! So here he is, and here I go! I will check in as soon as I can and maybe even have some pics of us TOGETHER! 😀
Oooo the hotel we’re staying at tonight – I called them to arrange some special little things and guess what?! They’re COMPING everything!!!! Free chocolate covered strawberries, free white zin, free room service…. oh my! This is going to be a fun evening!!
