This was a weekend of magic at our house. Not quite Disney Magic, no. Pain and swelling was involved. 😉

In one moment, you yourself can experience the magic! Wait! Don’t go away! You’ll enjoy this, I promise! Many of you have met Chloe, our beloved pup. Well, once a year we bring her out to the center of this empty circle in the yard, as this is where we perform our magic. So here she is, waiting for us to begin.

Well typically, it is recommended that you perform this ritual with a group of 3 or more people. We just had the two of us (the girls were off playing somewhere), so we made due with what we had. So we start walking circles around Chloe, you know, doing the chant thing and stomping here and there, and voila.

We turned her into a swimming pool! WHOOHOO! Thanks, dog! She is now available to entertain for the summer season. Come one, come all, and B.Y.O.F.! (Bring Your Own Floatie!)

You know I just realized one of the best parts about being an artist. Eccentricity. I love it.

Oh, yea, and innovation hit us in the head again too, as we were looking for a way to IMMEDIATELY warm the pool. My idea: twist & use heated gel packs (first aid), but I couldn’t find any to even test them. They are available online, so I know they exist, they just don’t exist anywhere near me, right this very second.

So we went to a couple more stores, and we looked for a pond heater. Nope. An aquarium tank heater? Yep. Okay so we settled for that, and will have to run it for like 3,000 hours, because that’s how many gallons are in this pool. (15 ft. x 3 ft. deep)

And we went online. And we ordered something else. And we’re going to be a millionaires very very soon if this catches on, so we’ll call the manufacturer first and stake our claim on the idea. hah! I’ll let you know what it is after we get all of our registered trademarks and patents and copyrights and stuff in order. (Actually, we have to wait for the thing to arrive and see if it works. And if it does, I shall disappear for the summer into a 3,000 gallon backyard spa.) Oh, yeah.

    😆

wow, if you could harness Chloe’s magic powers you would be super-rich! 😉 Nice pool. Can’t wait to hear the story of how you ended up heating all that water.

COOL! You’ll have so much fun out there. When we had ours I loved to go in with Tanner and make whirlpools and waves and stuff. I’m glad you didn’t get the kind with the blow up ring around the top, mine kept springing leaks.
    Have fun kids!

If we could harness her powers, we’d be taking our show on the road! 😆

We had a mushroom cloud pool too, Sheila, and those things just don’t give you actual swim space. I’m anxiously awaiting whirlpool days!
