  • Iced Over

    February

    2006

We’ve still got a shiny coat of ice on everything around here, and the temperature is in the negatives, even worse with the wind chill factor.

Me, I’m taking the day off today. Not working. I’m going to play, and maybe shop, and maybe find a skin care line.

Speaking of skin care, do you use anything from the neck up that I should know about? For cleaning, moisturizing, that kind of thing? I’m not big into make-up, but my complexion could use some help. I feel like my face is thinning out so much that my skin looks droopy or something! I always have had problems using things because my skin is so sensitive to chemicals. I know the chlorine from swimming so much doesn’t help, it’s drying my skin out a lot. Help?

The only thing for skin that I know about is Mary Kay… I’m not super crazy about their make-up but their skin products are good. I’ve used their Satin Hands routine and wow… what a difference it made.

Well, I’m old. :scare: SO… I use a day cream designed to help. Reclaim, from Principal Secret. I was having dry, thinning issues as well, and it has helped.

To clean I use Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple. It’s the best of the 20 I’ve tried, and I’ve been using it for 3 years now.

It’s tough when there’s so much out there making outrageous claims.

I use Bare Minerals and Avon’s ANEW Ultimate Day Transforming Lift Cream . When I turned 40, (I’m 41 now) I noticed that using the Bare Minerals my skin looks better than ever! And I get more compliments on my skin than ever before! So I’m sticking with it!! 😉 Matter of fact, my friends have started using the Bare Minerals after seeing how my skin looks with it on! It looks natural and it lasts all day! There’s my :2cents: 😀

Mary Kay. It is all I have ever used my entire adult life. I even sold it for awhile. A. Long. Time. Ago!

I use almost all of the oil of olay facial products. It just seems to work best for me. I wear moisturizer every day and use the Lancome product line as well.
I don’t know if you’re on a low carb diet or not, but when I was on south beach, (which worked great at the time), I noticed the texture of my skin had changed slightly.
If you’re working out more than you normally do, you just might be dehydrated without realizing it. Your skin will reflect changes in diet and exercise!
    Good luck!
