I thought it might be a fun thing to start up a Thursday Thirteen thing. If you blog, I’d love for you to participate!
Every Thursday, I’ll post a list of 13 things about me, trying not to repeat anything from my 100 things list. These things will be fun, recent things even, that will give you a little more insight into what I’m all about, like it or lump it! LOL
So, bloggers, if you want to participate, I’d love it! Your list can be purely fiction, non-fiction, or a bit of both – it is totally up to you. Thirteen things is all I ask for, and what do you get in return? Linkage! If you do it, leave a comment here and link me to your Thursday Thirteen. I will be sure to update my entry with links to yours, and then you can continue the chain if you like! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!
My Thursday Thirteen:
1. I’ve given up giving up my creamer for black coffee!
2. I cut my own hair, and I’ll be getting my clippers out today. I think!
3. I’m working on another custom blog graphic that’s pretty complex.
4. I bought a new office chair last weekend!
5. I hate thongs. (See Michele.)
6. I “met” a new blogger yesterday, KB, and she’s very cool!
7. I cleaned my desk last weekend and found a book of stamps.
8. I recently purchased three books: (1) How to Draw Cartoons for Comic Strips, (2) How to Draw Cartoon Animals and (3) Drawing the Head & Figure. Yes I know how to draw, but I am always up for improving my skills!
9. Some of you know about my affection for pretty things to write with. I am the proud new owner of the full set of Staedtler Triplus Fineliners. They rock.
10. I was on the phone most of the day Tuesday, and at the end of the day in the middle of my last phone call of the day, my cordless battery died.
11. It’s all recharged now.

12. I’m very much a plain Jane when it comes to jewelry (cross/chain, wedding ring only). I put my watch on only when I leave the house, along with a very special bracelet given to me by my bestest buddy Paige last Christmas.
13. I am in the process (right now, just hung up with the chiro’s office) of scheduling an MRI to find out what’s really wrong with my back!

Hey…that sounds like fun. I’m game. (Only I don’t know how to link to a specific blog entry… maybe its not possible. ??)
Glad you enjoyed “meeting” kb. She’s great – always honest, always wide open, and most of the time, good for a laugh! If I can find the time, I’ll play along…I’ll let you know if I do!
Thanks for the recommendation, E, she is great! I hope you can play – if not this week, then maybe next! :)
I’m not a blogger…so I guess I can’t play, but I can’t believe you hate thongs. It all ends up there anyway, so I guess I’d rather have a piece of floss there than a whole wad. Wear them almost every day. Is that TMI? The things I learn about you after knowing you for almost 9 years, hmmmm. Hugs to you today, clara
I wish I had had a chance to participate yesterday, but I was overwhelmed here at the office (the only time usually I get to read any blogs). I will definitely try to do so though this coming Thursday! FABULOUS idea, though!
I have so few readers, or at least commenters, that I doubt any innovative little blog thing I would come up with would result in much participation, but I think I will come up with something soon that is innovative and interesting to encourage participation too!
Lily – the best part about this is the recipricol linkage. I would love for my readers to visit the blogs I read, so I thought this would be a great way to do that and get to know them better at the same time!
I’d love for you to participate next Thursday with me and whoever else decides to do it! In fact, I think I’ll conjure up a fun little graphic to go along with it! :)
Thursday sound like they are going to be fun!!! I missed this week but I’ll try and remember to play next week.

[...] I want to thank all my readers who have stuck with me, especially GeekyMama, who got me started in this crazy blogworld and was my first reader. I have made so many good friends over this past year, if I started naming them I would be afraid I would hurt someone’s feelings if I left them out. I do have to give a mention to Leanne and Running2Ks, because without them we wouldn’t have Thursday Thirteen and Monday Memories and therefore, I wouldn’t have the traffic that I do. Also, I am proud to consider them my friends. Uisce, I have to give you a mention because today you are Michele’s site of the day and you are sharing the blog love with me by telling everyone to come over for my 100th post. Thank you, babe! And of course, this post wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t say a huge thank you to my twin, mentor and friend, Megan! She has really brought me along in this blog world and stuck with me through boring posts, trying times and cutting my figurative teeth as a writer. Thank you, hun! I love ya! [...]

[...] Read the very first Thursday Thirteen here!I also thought it would be beneficial to link to everyone who participated – but it wasn’t long before linking to everyone became a full time job! It spread like wildfire, and it brought more bloggers together than I ever thought possible! Fun Fact: The Crusty Crone was the first one to join in on the Thursday Thirteen fun!In September of 2005, MommaK of Petroville joined me as a Thursday Thirteen Hostess. Together, MommaK and I promoted the Thursday 13, spent our Thursdays visiting and linking up all of the participants. It was a blast! In January, however, we both drove off a cliff. Figuratively speaking, of course! We were overwhelmed trying to get around to visit everyone, and needed to turn the hostessing reigns over. I passed the hostess torch over to Nicole and Lindsey, who offered to host the code and do their best to get around to all of the Thirteeners. [...]
