    Out with the old:

    and in with the new:

I always manage to redecorate an entire room in 10 hours or less when I’m under stress. It’s also usually the first thing I turn to when my head is swimming and I need to go off into my own personal lala land for a while. (p.s. The old is the north wall, the new is the south view!)

Does it eliminate the stress? I wish! It did give me a lot of time to figure out how to handle it though, so that’s what I’m gonna do this afternoon.

    I hope you’re having a nice weekend!

    Pumpkin Carvings

These are our first two pumpkins, isn’t that one just Wicked? And Whose Hat Is That? Needless to say, our children dictated our afternoon, so all productive plans that didn’t involve pumpkin shopping and carving were thrown out the window. And tomorrow, tomorrow is insane. Bindi’s portrait is going to meowve into next week. (haha, get it? meowve? I crack me up.)

I’m working on that Pumpkin Carving Contest too. You know, inbetween stuff. :pilot:

    Mommy Fumbles

MommaK over at Petroville thinks she’s a bad mom. I beg to differ. I’ll share my story to make her feel better, and to prove to you all that I’m not perfect. Once and for all.

    Here’s how my story goes:

We (me, with my girls in the back seat) were on our way home from McD’s, because I do so enjoy their yummy nutritious food. Our McD’s is located on a frontage road near an intersection where there is a wreck every. single. day. I am terrified of that intersection.

So. We’re sitting at the frontage road to turn left into traffic, about 75 feet from the cursed intersection. A Ford Explorer with tinted windows pulls up beside me on my right, and of course now I must wait until he goes before I can edge out any further.

I’m a cussing driver, I’m always talking to other drivers. Of course I say “Move your dam^ truck, I can’t see through it you dumba$$!”

My Chickeymonkey, at three years old, from her carseat in the back, says “Who’s the dumba$$, mom?” In her littlest and most curious voice.

Granted I wasn’t in front of a bunch of people, but still, just as embarrassing. I think.

    😛

    Excellent Drivers

Two girls. One Jeep. One flat backyard. One frightened dog.

Here we have an excellent driver in the making, I don’t think I’ll be too terribly frightened when it’s time for her to get behind the wheel. She’s taking the whole driving thing pretty seriously huh? I thought so. Our eldest weed appears to be a responsible driver. I’m a happy mom.

    On the other hand….

    Six! Six Hundred Dollah!

Whoooowie! It’s over. When we closed up the garage sale yesterday we’d been picked clean, added $300 to the big pile of money which I can’t stop staring at, and also met some pretty cool people.

I have THREE fifty dollah bills! T h r e e! Weeeee! Yes I know, silly thing to get excited over eh? Not really though when you consider the last time we ever carried that large of a denomination was, uh. Hm. Let me think about that and get back to you. It’s been that long.

A few notable things have happened over the last couple of days that Jeanette missed me (thank you Jeanette! I missed you too!), I shall make it brief. Because there’s a new flavored coffee that I must go buy right away. It’s early and my eyes are a lot yawny.

    ********************

I made SIX HUNDRED DOLLAH! I mentioned that. But it is worth mentioning again isn’t it?

    ********************

My sister B, who is an EMT, (hey that rhymes! B THE EMT! I’m going to make her a shirt.) has been trying to get ahold of agencies who are handling the Disaster Relief because she is gung-ho on volunteering her services for some strange reason. Humanitarians are such a wierd bunch aren’t they? Anyhow, she’s going to be headed down to volunteer her services to the unfortunate folks who have been completely tattered by the shitty weather they’ve been having. I told her, watch out for sharks – because they’re swimming in the STREETS now. That can’t be good. I’ve also heard there’s some sort of epidemic that they’re trying to identify (as of Saturday, I’m a little behind on the news), and so I hope she can be most helpful with her short little freckled face self and brain full of medical knowledge. You go, sis, I’m proud of you (sniffle).

(Now maybe my family will quit yapping, evvverybody wants to be a superstar. As if I’m famous or something. Get your own damn blog. HAH! Neener neener.)

Smartass remarks aside, I am very proud of B for volunteering her time and skill. It’s a good thing.

Today was a grrrrrrrreat garage sale day, we made a little over $300! Yay us!

Yes I’ve been absent from the blogosphere. Didjya miss me? It’s been like over 24 hours! Oh I’m sure you’ve been here several times today wondering “where on earth is that woman?” Right? Yeah, I’m sure of it. If not, let’s pretend you were, okay? Okay!

Now I must go buy hangers. No more wire hangers you say? Well then you come fold all of these clothes, I say!

If anyone needs little girl clothes, please let me know what size and at the end of the day tomorrow, they’re yours if you want them!

I didn’t cry. Honestly. I did NOT. CRY. Nut-uh. No, I didn’t. I swear I didn’t. ::sniffle:: THAT was not crying. I just, I think I’m coming down with a cold or something, that’s all. Truly.

    (waaaahhhhh! Everybody LEFT me! WAAAAAAAAHHHHH!)

Not crying. Still not crying. Wanna. But not gonna. Phew. Okay. Deep breath. Ooh, I know! I can go shopping now! That will make me feel MUCH better!

    A Wink & A Smile

This pic of Catybug is a few years old, my sister and I ran across it while looking through photographs last week. It made me laugh, she is a total ham for the camera! Alright well she used to be. She’s grown into a shyness now where she really hates it when I share pics that show her or her creativity. Waaaah! She’s even telling me how to spell her nickname now! Jeesh!

I finished a custom blog illustration yesterday, and it turned out SO neat! The designer has yet to implement the illustration into the layout, so once that happens I’ll share a screenshot. I don’t like to post those until the entire project has been completed and you can see it in full context. The E.Webscapes team does have some new designs up though if you want to check them out!

    Catfish, Noodles and Corn.

Do you see that? There’s a ding on my catfish! Oh noooo! (And have you voted for him lately? Huh? Have ya huh? Well go on, vote!)

I noticed the ding at the VIP party a few weeks ago. Last week while my sis was in town, I took her down to Minuteman Press (my sponsor) so she could see it in person. I studied the ding, fretted over the ding, and this week I must repair the ding. I’m not happy about the ding one little bit! This coming Sunday, August 21st, the Catfish will be on auction and each one will get a permanent owner and home. My catfish will be ding free when this happens.

That, my friends, is my dingy little topic of the morning.

Oh! How could I forget, I should also find out the results of the MRI today. Wahoo! (/sarcasm) ouch.

And over here to the right you see a fine plate of food, which isn’t fast food, either! I cooked! This is Mark’s favorite home cooked meal (at the moment). It’s super easy too, because I’m a lazy cook, in case you want to try it. I marinated a couple of chicken breasts, pan fried them until the outsides were done in a stew pot (chili pot, whatever you call that thing, I’m no expert!), then followed the instructions on two boxes of PastaRoni cooking the chicken in with the noodles. Yummmmmy stuff there! We use the angel hair pasta, one parmesan and one of the herb sauce. Those little yellow pellet things on the plate? That’s corn. I’m serious! It comes in a can! Isn’t that COOL?

Okay enough horsing around, I better get back to work! Happy Monday to you!
