What another interesting day! I hate doorways. No question about it. I would rather lift a refrigerator fully loaded over the top of my head (ok, well, try.) than cut a piece of flooring that fits around door trim. It is STUPID. Why aren’t they square??
(Guys? you’re the geniuses who came up with this stuff, WHY WHY WHY!?)
My “home brew” wall color turned out really cool. It looks like a nice deep terra cotta. Great against the flooring!! I still can’t believe this was all so cheap (money wise), it really looks rich. I would NEVER have invited anyone into my utility room before, iew! And you’ll see why. Double iew. And an ick for good measure.

you are right. That looks gorgeous. You really hit it with the wall color. It looks so rich with the flooring. Very chic.
Did you get dinner? I think you should have some of that fancy wine you drink.

Ok I will admit it. I rock. I am walking around on my new floor completely bewildered feeling like some crazy woman must have done this, because it looks insanely nice. I can’t even find a word for how awesome it is not to have a utility room that’s just disgusting and embarrassing. The before pics? I am thinking – UG people are going to know I lived like this for 9 years. UG UG UG. But I know everyone who owns a home realizes that things take time, and utility rooms – heck unless it’s an appliance that needs to be replaced – they come last as far as decorating goes!
I am, along with you guys, amazed at the change. I knew it would look different, but I didn’t know it would look SO nice!!!!!
P.S. Kris, no one delivers hot dogs. I told you I’m cheap! 😆
