    Does anyone know what type of flower/plant this is? My girlfriend has it growing (wild?) in her yard.

    Yes, that’s butterfly weed. Isn’t it beautiful? I so love the vibrant color. I have some in my yard too, that I intentionally planted (after buying the plants for $2 a piece) — as a member of the milkweed family, it’s preferred food for Monarch butterfly caterpillars. They LOVE and depend on it…!
