Here are Annie, Momo & Callie’s final portrait painting images – you can click them for a larger (actual size, or very close) view in my portfolio. Of course you are welcome to leave feedback about their portraits in my portfolio as well! These three little 4″ x 4″ custom paintings are already on their way home and all their Mama needs is three nails and a hammer, as they’re ready to put right up on the wall.

If you’re considering getting your own portrait (Christmas is coming – I saw geese flying South this morning!), you can find sizes and pricing both in my shop and on my order form.

    ww.jpgWeight Watchers Weekly Weigh-in #9!

The past few days, I’ve been writing this big long detailed entry (in my head) about how this works for me, why I think it’s successful, and what it really takes to make the changes I’ve made and not fail. It’s still in my head, of course – because I have blog designs to finish, and a faucet that decided to rain on my morning, and I have a post-it pad in front of me that I’m jotting more “to-do’s” on as I think of them. I am not even finished with my first cup of coffee this morning, and the day is half over. Happy Monday! heh!

    First week: -4.6 lbs.
    Second week: -4.2 lbs.
    Third week: -1.6 lbs.
    Fourth week: -2.4 lbs.
    Fifth week: -.8 lbs.
    Sixth week: -2.6 lbs.
    Seventh week: -1.2 lbs.
    Eighth week: -2.2 lbs.
    * * Ninth week: -1 lbs. * *
    Total to date: -20.6 lbs.
I’ve hit my 20 pound goal, and I set my target this morning, and have just 8 pounds to go to reach it. Then it’ll be whatever it is – if I keep losing, then great! I’m not going to change anything about what I’ve been doing, because I don’t really want more fat cells than a normal person should have.

Shopping did commence one afternoon last week, I was amazed to find jeans 3 sizes smaller and shirts 2 sizes smaller were a perfect fit for me. Of course no shopping spree is complete without a (couple) pair of shoes, and a belt – to hold up my pants if they start to get big again! It was a bit surreal, so I had to stick the sticker from the leg of the jeans on my desk nice and visible so it sinks in. Really. I did.

Much to do, and I promise that within the next day or two, I will detail out what I’ve been doing so that if you’re inspired, you can make the changes you need to make to start reaching your goals, too.

    Lesson learned:
Don’t turn your back on your bunneh whilest you change her litter box,
you might not be able to find her until you start looking for your favorite slippers.

Momo’s custom cat portrait is drying right beside Annie now, waiting for Callie (tomorrow) and they will be the fabulous trio their Momma knows and loves. Still lovin’ this size and these close-up detailed macro shots for paintings, painting each layer of fur stroke by stroke gives it so much depth and dimension, these kitties could purr (if they had recorded push button purr boxes attached).

    ww.jpgWeight Watchers Weekly Weigh-in #8!

This marks the end of my 8th week on the Weight Watchers Core plan. What do I have to show for it? A drawer full of pants that are TOO BIG. Not that I’m complaining, of course! Do I wish I could see the difference in the mirror? Absolutely. I can feel the difference in my clothes, but I see the same thing in the mirror – I even see the same numbers in my head when I picture my weight on the scale. Self image is a horrible thing – at this point I’m not sure if a hundred people came up and told me how much weight I’d lost if I would even believe them. It’s strange how our psyche can really be so far off from reality, and I wonder what it is going to take to fix that.

Regardless, I do have something to share this week!

    I reached my 10% goal!
    :good:

    First week: -4.6 lbs.
    Second week: -4.2 lbs.
    Third week: -1.6 lbs.
    Fourth week: -2.4 lbs.
    Fifth week: -.8 lbs.
    Sixth week: -2.6 lbs.
    Seventh week: -1.2 lbs.
    * * Eighth week: -2.2 lbs. * *
    Total to date: -19.6 lbs.
Ahhh now what. What is my next goal?! Well, I think 20 pounds is pretty attainable at this point. And then just a few more to hit a whole new set of 10’s on the scale.

And then, then the shopping will commence.

I actually got to paint yesterday! WooHoo! It’s been a few weeks, and Callie, Annie & Momo have been patiently waiting on my easel for me to return. Fortunately, there have been a few delays with other projects – and unfortunately, there are delays with my projects. I am not a big fan of holding patterns in any situation – especially those that effect how I manage my own schedule.

It’s causing me to become what I don’t want to be – someone who holds up other people. :bricks:

Like the old saying goes, back to the drawing board. You know, in my studio, where I work on my paintings. You can see Annie’s underpainting and the progress I’ve made so far on Callie, Annie & Momo’s portraits here. I’ll be finishing up the other two over the next couple of days.

My 4×4 paintings are probably my most popular, because they’re the most affordable and they’re actually pretty cool in a group on a wall, like my Eye Ate It series – or in this case, just the three kitties. I put together some custom portrait packages in my Shop to make things easy, so if you’re interested in nabbing up a 4×4 custom portrait painting for Christmas, I can take just a few more orders and get them done before the holiday.

I’ll post the next completed painting when it’s finished – and also the scans when all three are done and dry – so stay tuned for those details!

    Then…
    Now…
    100chickeymonkeysixsleepy.jpg

    Five, Four, Three
And the conversation this year went a little like this:

Me: So, how do you feel? Do you feel older?
Chickeymonkey: Yes! ::rolls eyes at me::
Me: How do you feel older? What changed?
Chickeymonkey: Doh Mom, 6 is BIGGER than 5!

And there you have it. A great snarky start to the beginning of our sixth year with Mini-me.
