    Painting Meowface on Cam!

Just turned the webcam on, I will be working on Meowface tonight, spiffin her up a bit with the highlights and lowlights, a little foil, pedicure, cleaning out her ears, you know, all that fancy pet painterly kind of stuff. 😉

I’ll probably be taking a little bit of a break to chit chat with my hubby before he goes out for the day, so if I suddenly go MIA you know why.

    See ya on cam!

UPDATE: 12:04AM Here’s Meowface…whiskers are last (in case you’re wondering what is off!)

    Hey!

Just so ya know, I’ll be painting tonight, after 8PM CST. The underpainting is just about dry, and we’ve also got some stuff happening this afternoon that will prohibit a good uninterrupted painting session.

I’ll update tonight when I start!

I just have to share this gal with you guys. I mentioned Lisa, she’s the gal taking the reins on revamping my blog layout and making the functionality SO MUCH better. She is also the gal I’m painting Talis & Meowface for. We’re trading services, which is awesome in itself!

You know how frustrated I am with Blogger, well I’ve installed WordPress and it’s a whole new coding language to me. I am the type who would sit and fiddle with learning the code, and I knew that if I did that I would not finish my commissions for everyone in time for the Holidays, so she graciously took over my headache so that I could get my butt back into the studio! THANK YOU, Lisa!!

I was blogsurfing lastnight, have you ever done that? You must! Here’s a great place to start, Lisa’s design samples. Have a look at the awesome graphic & coding talents this girl has. Pay special attention to the features on each of the blogs you look at. Layout aside, there are so many neat features that turn each blog into its own information headquarters. You can search each blog within itself for things you remember but can’t find thru dated archives. A calendar to read up from your last visit. A list of referring websites. SOooOOoo many things that I didn’t even realize I was missing until I stumbled across her website!

I know it can be time consuming, but it’s fun and informative, so surf those blogs! And if you have one, tell me where I can find you if I haven’t already. If you don’t have one, drop Lisa a note; her whole biz is hosting and designing blogs for folks! She’s awesome!!

This is a huge painting. Almost as big as my Romantique Wine Glass Homecoming piece, that one is 20×20. I’m putting a few shots up here, have to show mom the beautiful deep purple sides, they look awesome against that dark green!

Hey, how ’bout that carpet?! Looks like a piece from my living room. Frieze I think is the style? Something like that. Ok on to the pics!

    To all our friends,

I want to thank each and everyone of you for the support, prayers, and love you have given to me and my family during my time deployed in Iraq.

During this holiday season I would like to pass on my best wishes to you and yours, and I wish you continued happiness and success in the upcoming year.

This year for my family had been a very long and stressful one. We have survived and with the strength of our love and the blessing of our children and family we will make it to the end of this deployment which hopefully will end in the next few months.

Once again thank you for your continued support during this holiday season and during my time of deployment in Iraq

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hey there! I hope you had a great Friday, you know most of us parents are going to spend the next 3 weeks going nuts entertaining our children while they’re off for “winter break”! Yes, today was the last day of school for many of our kids. Feel sorry for us, ok? Thanks. 😉

Sheba will get her varnish and scan tomorrow. So will the Sock Thief. I’ll post them both so you can have a looksee, they’ll get their own entries so you’re gonna have to scroll a whole bunch! Our friendly PHP Surgeon is in the Operating Room as I type, so the blog will have her new facelift very soon!

I’ve started my next piece, a DOOZIE! This one is an 18×18 Gallery wrapped canvas, TWO kitties KISSING! They are so sweet. Well here, I’ll just show ya their sketch ok? Ok. Meet Talis & Meowface, owners of a gal named Lisa (Just a girl). I will be painting the background on webcam tomorrow!

There was something else I wanted to say, but now I’ve forgotten.

Mark, I know you’re going to see this after I’ve gone to bed, so {{{{{huge hugs}}}}} and you know if the rooster crows enough I will wake up! Love you hugely! I’m sorry the satellite was so crappy the other night. (The man tried to get and stay online for over 2 hours before duty, and he is not the most patient man!) My sweetie pie of a hubby, just a few more weeks to go and we’ll be curled up on the couch watching CSI! XOXOXOX

Ok the rest of you, go blow your noses and check back in the morning for some photorealistic and surreallistic scans, and a webcam session update!

P.S. is it just me, or are you all singing “Strangers in the Night…” after seeing the kitties pose? :P~
